Support Classical Dance
Central Oklahoma Ballet Company – A non-profit organization was founded to enhance the cultural life of the community through the beauty of classical dance. Central Oklahoma Ballet offers local audiences the opportunity to experience world-renown visiting guest artists while also providing a venue for local dancers to perform and train with professional choreographers and dancers. Central Oklahoma Ballet’s reputation for quality has grown and its audience is now drawn from a large metroplex area.
Central Oklahoma Ballet will celebrate the holiday season with the magic of The Nutcracker, Dec. 2 and 3, 2023 accompanied by the Oklahoma Community Orchestra at the Yukon Fine Arts Auditorium and will feature national and international guest artists. The Nutcracker, a visual delight for adults and children of all ages, is the most beloved ballet of all time. The Nutcracker has become a Christmas tradition in the community and has earned a professional reputation regionally.
We Need Your Help!
Contributions have and always will be essential to a ballet company’s existence. Through past year’s contributions the company successfully completed a capital campaign for the purchase of special flooring and the addition of the Oklahoma Community Orchestra. Your contribution this year will ensure that The Nutcracker, now a traditional cultural experience, will continue to delight audiences and help fulfill the cultural needs of the community.
We depend on our contributors and the efforts of many to bring a ballet such as The Nutcracker to the stage. There is an entire crew taking care of wardrobe, lighting, sound, stage floor, and props. The costs of the orchestra, marketing, administration, theatre rental, and salaries for the guest artists and production staff are part of the entire cost for the ballet production.
Generous donations, in-kind volunteers and wonderful sponsors and contributors give Central Oklahoma Ballet the opportunity to grow and continue capturing the interests of arts enthusiasts of all ages. By making even a small donation you are helping to provide Central Oklahoma Ballet the opportunity to purchase costumes, sets, and increase the number of company dancers. Your generous support will help bring the holiday treat of The Nutcracker to life.
